Channel mods

Let your mods manage your queue, library and settings.

Only the channel owner can manage mods, under Configuration > Mods.

Adding a mod

  1. Add the mod by their Twitch username.
  2. The mod signs in to Ovatio with that same Twitch account. They're linked automatically, and can switch to your channel with the channel switcher at the top of the sidebar.

Or add and remove them right here:

Live

You can also ask the support assistant to add mods. It shows the Twitch accounts it found, and nothing changes until you click Apply.

Until the mod signs in, they show as not yet linked. A mod who signed in with a different account, or with Google only, won't be linked; they need to sign in with the Twitch account you added. You can't add yourself as a mod.

Moderator seats

Your plan includes a number of moderator seats, and every mod uses one, whether you added them by hand or synced them from Twitch. When your seats are full, remove a mod or upgrade your plan to add more.

When you sync from Twitch and have more Twitch moderators than free seats, the first ones are selected up to your limit. Uncheck and check mods to choose who gets a seat.

If you switch to a plan with fewer seats, the mods you added most recently are disabled until you're within the new limit. Disabled mods stay in your list but can't access your channel. To choose who keeps access, use Swap in on a disabled mod and pick the active mod whose seat they take. You can also Disable an active mod to free a seat, then Enable a disabled one. If you upgrade again, disabled mods get their seats back.

What mods can do

Mods can manage the queue, the library and most settings for you. Owner-only pages, such as Mods and Markers, stay hidden from them.
