Stream Deck
Open or close song requests and advance your queue with Ovatio Controller.
Ovatio Controller adds two buttons to Stream Deck:
- Toggle Queue opens or closes new song requests and shows the resulting state on the key. Closing requests keeps the existing queue.
- Next Song marks the current request as played, archives it, and advances to the next song. Press it when you have finished the current song.
Install the plugin
You need Stream Deck software 7.1 or later, on macOS 12 or later or Windows 10 or later, and an Ovatio account.
Open the Elgato Marketplace from Stream Deck, search for Ovatio Controller, and install the plugin. Once installed, its actions appear in the Ovatio Controller category in Stream Deck.
Connect your account
- In Stream Deck, find the Ovatio Controller category and drag Toggle Queue or Next Song onto a key.
- Select the key and click Connect Ovatio in its settings panel.
- Sign in to the Ovatio account you want to control and approve access in the browser.
- Allow the browser to open Stream Deck when prompted. The settings panel should show Connected to Ovatio.
The connection is shared by all Ovatio Controller actions, so you only need to sign in once. Tokens refresh automatically. You do not need to create or paste an API key.
Add the second action to another key if you want both controls available. You can check the results in your dashboard; see Requests and queue for how requests and playback work.
Disconnect or switch accounts
Select either Ovatio Controller key and click Disconnect. This removes the stored connection for all of the plugin's actions. To switch accounts, disconnect first, then select Connect Ovatio and sign in with the other account.
Troubleshooting
- Sign-in does not finish: start Connect Ovatio again and complete it within ten minutes. Allow the browser to return to Stream Deck.
- The plugin asks you to connect again: disconnect and reconnect from the key's settings panel.
- A key shows an alert: the command failed. Check your internet connection and account connection. Check the dashboard before pressing Next Song again, in case the queue already advanced.
- The Toggle Queue icon looks outdated: it refreshes when the action appears and after you press that key. Changes made in the dashboard or on another key are not pushed to it live. Switch away from the Stream Deck page or profile and back to refresh it.
- “Ovatio OAuth is not configured yet” or an OpenID token error: the application operator needs to check the deployment's OAuth configuration. Reinstalling the plugin will not configure the server.
